PRIVACY POLICY
1. Consent: By filling in any of the forms on this website, you are giving your consent for L Newman Carpentry to hold your personal information. The information which you supply on the forms will be held together with any Quote’s and Invoices, as applicable. We use this information to give you the best possible service and for the purposes of insurance. Please note that if you do not proceed with a quotation then we delete all information including Name, address, email and Telephone number within 3 months. However, if we proceed with works then we keep records for 7 years, in line with Insurance Policies.
2. Email marketing: We do not use Email as a form of marketing. We rely on word of mouth and people contacting us through our Social Media Pages. The only circumstances in which we would email you, would be to discuss the work required or payment terms.
3. Storing your information: your information is only stored electronically if you proceed with a Job or a Quotation. The Invoice &/or Quotation is stored both on an encrypted computer and in a locked filing cabinet.
4. Retaining your information: All records are retained for a period of 7 years from the date of completion of works. This is in-line with Insurance requirements. Records are destroyed after this period of time through a secure shredding process.
5. Accessing your information: Your records are accessed by Clare & Lawrence Newman – Sole Partners in L Newman Carpentry, for the sole purpose of working with you and advising you, quoting and chasing payment (should the need arise!). You have the right to request a copy of your records at any time & these records purely involve any quotation or Invoice between ourselves and yourself.
6. Sharing your information: your information will be kept strictly confidential unless there are legal grounds for me to disclose something which you have told me to a third party. I shall always inform you if I feel that disclosure is necessary and seek your permission and co-operation first.
7. Complaints: if, for any reason, you are unhappy with how I am handling your data, please raise your concerns with me first, so that we can seek a resolution. If you are still not satisfied, then you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
We take confidentiality seriously and will not pass on or sell your data to anyone unless there is a legal reason.
